UK Electronics in-house Cad team, with over 25 years experience, can take your circuit information, whether drawn by hand, computer generated, or even in the form of prototype samples (hardware only), and produce a professional PCB design using Cadstar PCB capture and design or Orcad capture.

The level of data produced can be tailored to your requirements and budget ranging from PCB layout information only, to a full data pack comprising schematic capture, bill of materials and Gerber information for PCB manufacture and / or SMT placement. All the drawing data can be provided in both software and hard copy form.

If you already have a layout design, which requires up dating, possibly to meet EMC or UL requirements, UK Electronics have the experience to bring your product up to date in a speedy, cost effective manner.

EDA Tools

PCB layout design is carried out to the highest standard using Zuken-Redac’s Cadstar, one of the most powerful, state–of-the-art PC-based design tools. Cadstar can accommodate the most complex board configurations, unlimited component numbers and unlimited number of pins per component. Also, our Cad design team will offer advise based on their experience to ensure the layout is successful and will make every effort to ensure that designs are compliant with international requirements for CE marking.

For schematic entry we prefer to use Orcad capture. As well as generating schematic diagrams and netlists – which are directly compatible with Cadstar, it also speeds up the process from schematic to PCB layout. Orcad can also produce a component list based upon the information entered into the schematic, which will help you eventually in producing your own Bills of Materials. We can also import and / or design circuit diagrams using Cadstar capture files. If required we can also import - Cadstar capture files and DXF files. We also have the tools available to import Gerber files into Cadstar which may assist the customer in modify an existing design where the binary data has been misplaced.
